Indian meal moths are nocturnal; they fly at night. During the day, they rest in dark places, usually in pantries or storage closets - wherever dried food is stored.
Indian Meal Moths are probably the most common pantry pest found in kitchens and pantries. One moth can lay 100 to 400 eggs over 1 to 18 day period. Almost any thing in your pantry that is not well wrapped or in a tin can is suspect.
